  • Join a listserv. E-mail the instructor informing him of the listserv joined. Stay with the group for two weeks, write a short paper at the end of the two weeks describing the experience, and be prepared to share the experience orally with the class. This will be due on day #7 (24 July).
  • Read Chapter Two and prepare for a Quiz from the Quick Quizzes on pages 2.12 and 2.50.
  • Design three internet treasure hunt questions for next time.

  • Treasure Hunt assignment: Each students places three questions into a hat, each student then draws two questions (not their own). Research the questions that are drawn. There will be a short written assignment describing the experience due on day #5 (5 June). Also be prepared to orally share the results on day #5.

  • Work on treasure hunt activity and prepare a written evaluation of the project to hand in next time. Include: Your questions and the answers. Was it hard or easy to find the answers to your questions? How long did it take to do the assignment? Was it fun, worthwhile, boring? How could the assignment be changed? Should it be required for the next class? This is an opinion piece, no justification necessary!

  • Listserv reports due next class period. A short written evaluation of the experience should be handed in next time.
